Apopka · Est. 1963

Come as you are. We’ll save you a seat.

A small United Methodist church on Bear Lake Road — traditional blended worship, a table that’s actually open, and a congregation small enough to know your name.

A neighborhood church

Not a campus. A congregation.

We’ve been on this road since 1963. The building is older. The welcome is not a relic. If you’re looking for a church where you can arrive once and already belong a little, this is it.

01

Gather

Sunday worship at 10 — hymns, scripture, a sermon, and a room that still feels like a room.

Plan a visit
02

Grow

Bible study, prayer, and a faith that has to work on a Thursday as well as a Sunday.

Who we are
03

Go

Service is not a slogan here. It’s how a small church stays useful to Apopka.

Give & serve
First time?

Park, walk in, be greeted.

Come in what you’re wearing. Sit wherever feels easy. Nobody will make you stand up and introduce yourself. Pastor Eric Twaalhoven leads worship; the rest of us will make sure you have a bulletin and a way to find the coffee.

What to expect
The white A-frame sanctuary of Bear Lake UMC in daylight. The church courtyard and memory garden with brick walks and oaks. A white cross against a Florida sky on the church grounds.
Can’t make it in person

Sunday still happens online.

We stream worship live on Facebook at 10 a.m. Same hour, same congregation — just a little farther from the pew.

Watch on Facebook
Sunlight through stained glass over red pews in the sanctuary.
God is good, all the time. All the time, God is good. A word we keep saying out loud
